KINETIC DRAWINGS
My kinetic drawings belong to a niche corner of the art world dedicated to performance drawing, which emerged as a specific art form from 20th-century movements like Futurism and Dadaism, emphasizing live, non-traditional art. It gained a more defined presence in the late 1960s and 1970s with the rise of "drawing as performance." Renata's work is informed by her training as a dancer and Gyrotonic® Expansion System which deeply explores spirals, body connectivity and expressive movement. Her performance drawings can be commissioned as live art, choreography, dance film and/or installation for your event, site or company. Existing works can be recreated and new commissions can be designed. Performance events can be stand alone or part of commissioning the resulting visual art as a framed and finished work.
Renata is also available as a director/choreographer to create new works or re-stage existing works on other bodies, professional and student. The possibilities are unlimited: solo, duet, group. Dancers and non-dancers, private and public events, academic, festival, etc.
